Q.  How is shopping with Lucky Penny different from hiring a full service florist?

A.  We're so glad you asked! Lucky Penny is pioneering the way flower buying should be.

Hiring a full service florist for your event usually goes something like this: You take time out of your work week to interview florists and sit for consultations - could be a dozen before your find your match.  Then begins the back and forth; you get your estimate, negotiate prices, determine what exactly 'blush' means, run it by your future mother in-law, and... back to the drawing board. Before you know it you've exchanged 89 emails and still don't really know what you're going to get until it arrives. How do we know this?  Well, we have over a decade of experience in the field. But we think it's time for a change.

We've created an online platform that puts YOU in control of flower buying. Take as much or as little time as you need to browse our selection - from your couch, your work desk, or while you're in line at Starbucks. When it's go-time, choose your price point, your Colorway, and your vessels. Working with local growers, we'll incorporate fresh, seasonally appropriate blooms so you can feel good that your flowers are cost effective and earth friendly, and most importantly, unique to you! We promise, no two Lucky Penny brides will ever carry the same bouquet. 


Q.  Which areas does Lucky Penny service?  

A.  We service the Baltimore Metro Area. Sorry, WE DO NOT SHIP.  


Q. Does Lucky Penny deliver?

A. You bet! Delivery is available within 60 miles of our Baltimore City studio for orders of $350 or more.  We offer FREE DELIVERY for orders over $1k, otherwise there's a flat fee of $100. 

Delivery hours are Friday 1PM-5PM and Saturday 11AM-5PM. Specify a two hour receiving window at checkout. We are a drop-off service only, we do not provide set up.  

*The customer assumes responsibility to receive the flowers during the time specified at checkout.  Should the recipient not be present at drop off, our driver will leave the order in the location he or she sees fit. Lucky Penny assumes no responsibility for the condition of the flowers once they have been received by the customer.

*Distance deliveries are considered for an additional fee, but please inquire prior to placing your order.  

Q. What if I prefer to pick up my order?

A. No problem.  You can pick up from our Baltimore City studio at no additional charge. Specify a time at checkout.  Lucky Penny is not responsible for loading your order or any damages incurred to your flowers once your order has left the studio.

 Q. What's the turnaround time on Lucky Penny orders?

A. Please allow for two weeks between placing your order and receiving your flowers. And remember, our flowers are available peak party days - Friday & Saturday. Our web checkout conveniently guides you to select the next eligible Friday or Saturday for your order.  We have an order minimum of $150.


Q.  Should I expect to see the exact same flowers that are featured on the website in my own bouquet? 

A.  We sure hope not! The images shown are examples, but what you get is fresh and one-of-a-kind, just like you. We work with local farmers to highlight the best product each week, which ensures that no two Lucky Penny brides will carry the same bouquet.

We've created 4 versatile Colorways that work with virtually any color palette. You see, we're not in the business of sorting the fuchsias from the magentas.  Flowers are dynamic, living beings that will pick up shades from the colors around them, and look the most lively when they incorporate a range of colors. Don't be afraid to have some fun with contrasting bridesmaid dresses or paper goods.  


Q.  Can I request specific flowers?

A.  There is an opportunity to add comments at checkout, such as "I love succulents," in which case, we'll do our best to incorporate succulents into your designs.  However, our primary aim is to provide you with the best of the season, and we can't guarantee that mother nature will come through. We reserve the right to make the game day call on what makes it in to your bouquet or table arrangements.


Q. What's the Lucky Penny story?

A.  It's pretty simple; we're shop smarter, play harder kinda gals. We're here to shake up the scene and prove that we have our clients' best interest at heart by offering beautiful, custom flowers from earth conscious suppliers at a price point anyone can afford.  Maybe you consider us a lucky find, but we're pretty sure making clients happy by doing what we love means we're the lucky ones.
