Jessica and Lauren’s Modern Museum Wedding

When planning your wedding, a huge portion that can affect everything else you decide is your venue. So many brides plan their dress, colors, and decor to match the ambiance of their venue. For Jessica and Lauren, they chose a modern museum for their wedding and it was a unique backdrop for their personality. Their special day at the American Visionary Art Museum was filled with lots of laughs, beautiful architecture, pops of color from Lucky Penny Floral flowers, and memories to last a lifetime!

The bride finished up her final touches of the day in a vivid room of the museum with her parents. Each room in the museum is so different from the next, making their wedding photos from Rebecca Burt Photography bright and vibrant. Her classic A-line gown with unique neck cuts paired with the venue was the perfect mix of elegance and art.

The venue's uniqueness continued as the bridal party walked down the aisle, and the couple exchanged vows. During the ceremony, some prayers brought guests to tears, followed by cheers of excitement that Jessica and Lauren finally had their special wedding day with friends and family.

During cocktail hour, guests were able to mix and mingle outside the museum for a change of scenery and take in the gorgeous weather on this September evening. After taking their photos throughout the museum's different rooms, Jessica and Lauren were able to make an appearance during cocktail hour. So many couples wish that they could attend cocktail hour with the guests to have that extra time together to celebrate, and Jessica and Lauren were so happy to have been able to make this happen.

The grounds of the venue created a gorgeous and unique backdrop for Jessica and Lauren's photos as newlyweds. Jessica and Lauren's flowers for their wedding day were in our Lucky Penny Floral Colorway No. 2. The standard colors you'll see within Colorway No. 2 are blush, peach, butter, coral, and pink; however, we customized the colorway to include pops of copper to match their vision.

The large bridal bouquet and the boutonniere added a beautiful texture to their looks and were a gorgeous colorway to go with for a September wedding. The pinks and blushes popped effortlessly against the rustic orange color. Our Lucky Penny Floral bouquet in Colorway No. 2 includes peonies, dahlias, zinnias, ranunculus, garden roses, and eucalyptus. The size of 18-25 stems and approximately 7-8" diameter makes it the perfect choice if you want a statement bouquet without overpowering your bridal look.

Continued throughout the reception space were more flowers from Lucky Penny Floral in our Colorway No. 2. Each table featured a lush bouquet centerpiece in Jessica and Lauren's signature wedding colors. For any couples looking to keep their centerpiece decor minimal, but still visually appealing, opting for flowers is always a perfect idea. When you order from our Baltimore wedding florist shop, we can customize your centerpiece flowers to match exactly to your bouquet flowers!
